Alabama
MedicEd.com is accepted in Alabama. The State of Alabama follows the guidelines of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). HOWEVER, if you are NOT NREMT certified, the State of Alabama dos not recognize online training for continuing education. That is, if you are only Alabama certified you must complete classroom training only.
Alaska
Content from MedicEd.com is accepted in Alaska. Alaska accepts CECBEMS approved programs for continuing education for EMT recertification. EMTs in Alaska can use up to 24 hours of continuing education through "self-study" which can include CECBEMS approved internet programs. The total number of hours which may be applied towards EMT-I, EMT-II, or EMT-III recertification is limited to 24 per two year certification period.
Arizona
Content from MedicEd.com is accepted in Arizona. For EMT-B, follow NREMT guidelines & complete 32 hour basic refresher. EMT-P have no limit for online continuing education.
Arkansas
Arkansas will accept a maximum of 12 hours of the required continuing education through MedicEd.com during each 2 year recertification period.
California
MedicEd.com is an accredited organization by CECBEMS. CA accepts CEs earned through MedicEd.com for the Paramedic level. All other levels must have courses approved at a county level to be used towards recertification. MedicEd.com's CECBEMS provider number is PMDED7000 - this may be used as CA Provider number on any necessary paperwork.
Colorado
MedicEd.com is accepted in Colorado. The State of Colorado accepts CECBEMS approved continuing education such as MedicEd.com. Follow the guidelines of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) regarding the accepted amount.
Connecticut
MedicEd.com is approved for use in Connecticut. Please note: Check with your local medical director. Currently there is no statewide protocol for online continuing education. At this time, the decision is based on your local medical director. Most medical directors have opted to go with the National Registry guidelines.
Delaware
MedicEd.com is accepted in Delaware. The State of Delaware follows the guidelines of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
District of Columbia
MedicEd.com is accepted in DC. The District of Columbia follows the guidelines of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

The State of Indiana accepts 100% of online education completed through MedicEd.com.
Iowa
Iowa will allow you to complete half of the required continuing education through MedicEd.com. EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-D - 12 hours
Kansas
Kansas accepts CEUs that have been approved by CECBEMS. You may obtain 100% of your required continuing education from MedicEd.com.
Kentucky
MedicEd.com is approved for Kentucky. You may complete up to 50% of required continuing education online.
Louisiana
MedicEd.com is accepted in Louisiana. The State of Louisiana follows the guidelines of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
Maine
The state of Maine accepts CECBEMS approved materials. You can obtain 100% of the required CEUs through MedicEd.com except for Category 3 - BLS Skills and Category 5 - ALS Skills.
Maryland
MedicEd.com is accepted in Maryland. The State of Maryland follows the guidelines of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

MedicEd.com is accepted in Nebraska. EMTs may complete up to 10 hours of distributive learning (online) continuing education hours.
Nevada
The State of Nevada will accept a total of 20 hours online in any 2-year period. MedicEd.com is CECBEMS approved.
New Hampshire
In New Hampshire, the categories and amount of continuing education needed for re-registration for each level of EMS Provider is regulated by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). MedicEd.com is accepted by NREMT.

MedicEd.com is accepted in Ohio. 100% may be completed online. State of Ohio recognizes Ohio certified EMTs to complete 100% online. Ohio criteria is as follows: EMT-Basic: 40 hours of con ed, 6 of which must be pediatric, 2 geriatric 8 trauma; Follow NREMT guidelines if not state of Ohio certified.
Oklahoma
Oklahoma will allow one half of the required CEUs to be accomplished by distributed learning which is approved by CECBEMS, such as MedicEd.com. The required continuing education requirements are as follows:

South Dakota EMTs can receive 100% of CEUs through MedicEd.com.
Tennessee
MedicEd.com is accepted in Tennessee. The State of Tennessee recognizes courses with CECBEMS approval. MedicEd.com is approved by CECBEMS. EMT-B may complete up to 10 hours of continuing education and EMT-P may complete up to 15 hours of continuing education via MedicEd.com.
Texas
MedicEd.com is approved in Texas. The State of Texas recognizes material that is CECBEMS approved. MedicEd.com is CECBEMS approved.
Utah
MedicEd.com is accepted in Utah. A total of 25 hours of CECBEMS approved CME may be obtained via MedicEd.com.
Vermont
MedicEd.com is accepted in Vermont. The state of Vermont follows the National Registry guidelines.
Virginia
MedicEd.com is accepted in the State of Virginia. You may complete up to 10 hours continuing education via MedicEd.com. Your online continuing education through MedicEd.com counts towards your Category 3 Multimedia hours.
Washington DC

West Virginia
The State of West Virginia does NOT currently accept online continuing education.
Wisconsin
If you are National Registry certified, follow NREMT guidelines. MedicEd.com is approved for NREMT. HOWEVER, EMTs only licensed in Wisconsin cannot complete online continuing education that is not part of the state refresher course. MedicEd.com is not part of the state refresher course.
Wyoming
Wyoming EMTs may complete a maximum of 10 CEUs during the 2 year recertification period through distance learning, such as MedicEd.com. |
