NJ Emergency Medical Technician Training Fund Update
March 8, 2010
MedicEd.com has been notified that as of April 1, 2010 the NJ Emergency Medical Technician Training Fund (EMTTF) will no longer reimburse elective continuing education programs such as MedicEd.com. Members that earn approved credits before this date will still be able to utilize the fund and not pay for courses.
After this date, users will be required to either purchase credits at $5 per credit hour, or buy an unlimited block of time ($55 for one year of access). NJ EMT Basics will still be required to take NJ Approved courses, but again, will not be able to utilize the training fund for payment.
If your squad was on the latest list of NJ Eligible Squads (dated 2/22/2010) and is interested in signing up for a group account, please call our office and ask to speak with someone about the special rates for NJ. We are offering a discounted rate for the first year, as we understand that budgets for elective credits were not anticipated.
The elimination of the Training Fund will not affect our reporting of credits earned to NJ OEMS. We will continue to submit electronic reports on a monthly basis, and weekly during recertification months.
We are available in the office at (877) 781-1173 or via email at nj@mediced.com, please do not hesitate to contact us with any additional questions.
